Opening the album is "Could Have Been a Contender" - all Li+|%a  
polished pop perfection that brings back memories of the CoV@{Pi  
jaunty hits of the Housemartins and their catalogue of cqp^**s  
intelligent and catchy songs. "I Think I'm Bleeding" has an hVdGxT]6  
underlying country flavour to it. Whilst once again presented }tJMnq/m($  
as a happy little song, there is more than a touch of nv3TxG  
bitterness in his words. Funnily enough, the rather twee "The ?4t~z 1.f  
Toothbrush Song" would also make a quality country song due to 4M;S&LA  
its dry lyrics even if a cowboy would feel the need to Pr,C )uch  
accompany such emotions with bourbon rather than sparkling }Qh%Z)

The pace picks up with the title track "Off the Radar" that 0ke1KKy/d  
truly highlights Mr Kerr's pop sensibilities and offsets his  nyZ?m  
laidback vocal delivery with some spirited guitar. Loves lost ' i;ofJ[.c  
and won (mostly lost though? and a sense of reflection on his 'cY@Dqg1  
younger years seem a common theme to the songs in this album {JM3drnw  
and, indeed, regret is once more evident in "Is It Too Late to `F~Fb S  
Work for NASA" even if it is disguised here with wry humour. 5a/3nsup5  
If Bluesbunny closes his eyes, on "Mystery Star" Ally Kerr iig&O(,  
seems to transform himself into Edinburgh master popsters dBHki*.u  
Dropkick and there are certainly worse things to be than that. [-\DC*6  
If Bluesbunny had to pick a favourite track, it would probably jRp @-S#V  
be "Amorino" evoking, as it does, the melancholic pleasures of  v%QCp

The thing that impresses most about this album is the songs |[!0ry*N%  
themselves. Well crafted and melodic with sharp and observant lEpPi@2PK  
lyrics, they are however presented as a whole lot fluffier nZ`=Up p)  
than they actually are. It must be Ally Kerr's choice to do so z.W1Za  
but it does seem that he is deliberately avoiding giving any Y3xEFqMU  
kind of offense. Maybe he never gets angry himself - although 8g/r8u~  
his words suggest otherwise -but Bluesbunny feels that he is YGi_7fTyc=  
doing his own songs a disservice here by sprinkling an inch of F|&mxsL  
icing sugar on everything. It is not necessary for everything M+4S>Sjw  
in life to have a cherry on top for it to be appetising. .>'J ^^

Overall, this is a happy, upbeat album that is just a bit too Ds\f?\Em  
polite and well mannered to try and force itself upon your gIcPKj"8${  
affections. The production and arrangements are smoother than ik0w\*  
your average Starbuck's decaf latte but it is perhaps fair ^1ks`1  
comment to say that the omnipresent sugar coating will suit 6,]2;

his fans. However, and maybe this is a reviewer thing, a bit wDs#1`uTq  
of fire and even some unpredictability would have been ~5Rh7   
welcome. Then again, the Bluesbunny was always a quadruple 7RgnL<t~:8
