sound out of using bass-heavy yet crisp beats, lilting vocal

A1-,b.Ni percussion instruments, guitar duets turned into treated

a;Y:UwD9* household objects. The songwriting is expansive and fluid, all

*>:phs~r{ 8Iw)]}T' High Places' self-titled debut was recorded by the band's Rob
^ExuIe Barber and Mary Pearson in their apartment in Brooklyn's Fort

U(y8nI] instruments to make this album, ranging from the more
t-KicLr traditional: 12 string guitar, banjo, shakers and rattles,
,o%by5j"^N bass, bells and Kalimba; to the inventive: plastic bags,
