!T %K Aniseed is the fourth full-length from Chicago's The Atari Star. Half the tracks are sunny, upbeat, indie-pop rockers and the other half are lush, acoustic numbers adorned with Hammond B-3, bassoon, and cello. This time around, Marc Ruvolo's bittersweet vocals and intelligent lyrical themes are abetted by classically trained vocalist Dana Hammett and guitarist Casey Olin (Das Kapital). Additional arrangements and instrumentation supplied by Michael Perkins (Sig Transit Gloria, Far Rad).
