【內容簡介】：在現世，死神朽木榴亞突然闖進了黑崎一護的臥室，緊接著一隻虛攻擊了一護的家人，一護和朽木榴亞一起投入了消滅虛的戰鬥中。朽木榴亞在戰鬥中受傷並無法行動，她隻得把死神的靈力給一護，讓他變成一位死神。結果她發現，一護的靈力非常強大，並且有著比大多數死神的刀都要大的斬魄刀，隨後一護消滅了虛。第二天，朽木榴亞竟以一個轉校生的身份出現在一護的班上。原來一護把她的能力完全吸收走，而她必須附身於義骸裡等待恢復（但在後面的故事中才發現她所進入的義骸是有人專門為她設計的）。在這之間，一護必須接手死神的任務，成為代理死神，消滅在空座町（他所居住的地區）一帶出沒的虛。這之後一護也不斷的接受消滅虛的任務，直到有一天露琪亞「轉讓死神能力」之罪被屍魂界發現。一護與前來現世追捕朽木榴亞的阿散井戀次決鬥並佔優勢之時，卻被朽木榴亞的大哥朽木白哉一擊打倒。露琪亞被強制送返屍魂界，為了救出朽木榴亞，一護接受浦原商店店主浦原喜助的特訓，並和井上織姬、石田雨龍、茶渡泰虎一同前往屍魂界。 oe_l:Y%
