d as a happy little song, there is more than a touch of
'Rkvsch bitterness in his words. Funnily enough, the rather twee "The
pG F5aF7T Toothbrush Song" would also make a quality country song due to
CziaxJ its dry lyrics even if a cowboy would feel the need to
2u*h*/ accompany such emotions with bourbon rather than sparkling
r5!x,{E6 mineral water.
^o6)[_L SXo[[ao The pace picks up with the title track "Off the Radar" that

T}Yr9h4 truly highlights Mr Kerr's pop sensibilities and offsets his
kV:FJx0xP laidback vocal delivery with some spirited guitar. Loves lost
;Ma/b= Y and won (mostly lost though? and a sense of reflection on his
Q_]!an ( younger years seem a common theme to the songs in this album
#ON#4WD? and, indeed, regret is once more evident in "Is It Too Late to
3aE[F f[ Work for NASA" even if it is disguised here with wry humour.
^M(`/1 : If Bluesbunny closes his eyes, on "Mystery Star" Ally Kerr

o(d_uJOB If Bluesbunny had to pick a favourite track, it would probably
zJuRth)(, be "Amorino" evoking, as it does, the melancholic pleasures of

or%gTVZ themselves. Well crafted and melodic with sharp and observant
>1a \ %G lyrics, they are however presented as a whole lot fluffier
@W1WReK]f than they actually are. It must be Ally Kerr's choice to do so
tFvgvx\: but it does seem that he is deliberately avoiding giving any
} } ``~ kind of offense. Maybe he never gets angry himself - although
PJK ]t7vp his words suggest otherwise -but Bluesbunny feels that he is
"ji$@b_\? doing his own songs a disservice here by sprinkling an inch of
jW1 YTQ icing sugar on everything. It is not necessary for everything
wj#J>C2] in life to have a cherry on top for it to be appetising.

BbXU| QtY polite and well mannered to try and force itself upon your
| z #m affections. The production and arrangements are smoother than
Iu-'o your average Starbuck's decaf latte but it is perhaps fair
;h,R?mU comment to say that the omnipresent sugar coating will suit
;-9zMbte : his fans. However, and maybe this is a reviewer thing, a bit
8!uL-_ Bn of fire and even some unpredictability would have been
T@Ss&eGT2 welcome. Then again, the Bluesbunny was always a quadruple
