Now, Greg Pope is the leader of Edmund抯 Crown, long a fave here at Not Lame but rQuOt  
this 揚opmonster?indeed!) thing? Gawd, Lawdie, it抯 freakin?great! Listen to 4I+.^7d  
Track #3 and #2 below for a bit of The Shazam. But there抯 so much here for (O<abB(  
*all* pop fans. Yes, The Shazam, Matthew Sweet, The Replacements(at their =NI.d>kvC  
finest!), The Grays(track #1 below), Terry Anderson or Bill Lloyd(Track #6) and %j!z\pa  
plenty of more of that where this comes from! Pope started this out seeking the tgS+"ugl  
help of others with this solo reach, but scheduled proved to be tough with " -<}C%C  
buddies and he ended up playing all the instruments here ?to its great credit, RbyF#[}  
it sounds like a band at work here there抯 so much connection of the instruments x* k65WO\  
to the material. Big 憃le Talent? You betcha ?in spades. m.|qVN

here but there really isn't any filler. Opener "Sky Burn Down" lets you know 8-W"4)@b  
you're not in Kansas (or at least Tennessee) any more as he revs up a Robert ZA) SJWwD  
Pollard-style rocker in both sound and length (2:08). "I Got a Life" is another uVoF<=
{  
infectious barnburner which recalls both Matthew Sweet and The Who in places, w50.gr7  
while "Lost My Friend" and "Playing Nashville" travel in more familiar Edmund's 3W%f#d$`  
Crown territory. "The Only Thing I've Got" also clocks in around 2 minutes, and  u-]vK  
has a definite Alex-Chilton-by-way-of-Paul-Westerberg vibe. Other standouts 1 P(&GYc  
include the aching Jon Brionesque pop of "Only One You", the jangly "Footpath", 'Y~8 _+J?  
the bright Americana-influenced "Little Things", and "Reason With You", another d;*OO xQV
