"9[K polished pop perfection that brings back memories of the
/~_Cb= 7 jaunty hits of the Housemartins and their catalogue of
ta+'*@V +G intelligent and catchy songs. "I Think I'm Bleeding" has an
,i2%FW underlying country flavour to it. Whilst once again presented
?l_>rSly5 as a happy little song, there is more than a touch of
HrA6wn\O bitterness in his words. Funnily enough, the rather twee "The
jl<rxO?-F Toothbrush Song" would also make a quality country song due to
t|*PC its dry lyrics even if a cowboy would feel the need to
EX>|+zYL accompany such emotions with bourbon rather than sparkling
(k"oV>a| mineral water.

KowI truly highlights Mr Kerr's pop sensibilities and offsets his
FhB^E$r% laidback vocal delivery with some spirited guitar. Loves lost
]x fAdBi and won (mostly lost though? and a sense of reflection on his
s,^?|Eo;0 younger years seem a common theme to the songs in this album
O0xL;@rBe and, indeed, regret is once more evident in "Is It Too Late to

.MQ J Work for NASA" even if it is disguised here with wry humour.

RR:m <9l themselves. Well crafted and melodic with sharp and observant
9`^VuC' lyrics, they are however presented as a whole lot fluffier
?B %y)K than they actually are. It must be Ally Kerr's choice to do so
8\8uXOS but it does seem that he is deliberately avoiding giving any

h0-Dnw kind of offense. Maybe he never gets angry himself - although
u+s #Fee I his words suggest otherwise -but Bluesbunny feels that he is

5pI doing his own songs a disservice here by sprinkling an inch of
$*%Ml+H- icing sugar on everything. It is not necessary for everything
