Opening the album is "Could Have Been a Contender" - all }$5S@,  
polished pop perfection that brings back memories of the $ )q?z.U  
jaunty hits of the Housemartins and their catalogue of t.|b285e  
intelligent and catchy songs. "I Think I'm Bleeding" has an C5mq@$6  
underlying country flavour to it. Whilst once again presented _bB:1l?V  
as a happy little song, there is more than a touch of 0OLE/T<Xv  
bitterness in his words. Funnily enough, the rather twee "The %9ef [,WT  
Toothbrush Song" would also make a quality country song due to Y?G9d6]Lk6  
its dry lyrics even if a cowboy would feel the need to .Fo0AjL}x  
accompany such emotions with bourbon rather than sparkling \IB@*_G  
mineral water. x=

The pace picks up with the title track "Off the Radar" that \q9wo*A  
truly highlights Mr Kerr's pop sensibilities and offsets his e7X#C)  
laidback vocal delivery with some spirited guitar. Loves lost 07pASZ;~  
and won (mostly lost though? and a sense of reflection on his !DgN@P.o  
younger years seem a common theme to the songs in this album +>BLox6  
and, indeed, regret is once more evident in "Is It Too Late to UYJMW S=  
Work for NASA" even if it is disguised here with wry humour. H+Dv-*i  
If Bluesbunny closes his eyes, on "Mystery Star" Ally Kerr ms!|a_H7r  
seems to transform himself into Edinburgh master popsters Vp0_R9oQ  
Dropkick and there are certainly worse things to be than that. 4eG\>#5  
If Bluesbunny had to pick a favourite track, it would probably GD'Z"rhI  
be "Amorino" evoking, as it does, the melancholic pleasures of r{84Y!k~*

The thing that impresses most about this album is the songs Ziub%C[oV  
themselves. Well crafted and melodic with sharp and observant {o5^nd  
lyrics, they are however presented as a whole lot fluffier }@ktAt  
than they actually are. It must be Ally Kerr's choice to do so H~mp*S  
but it does seem that he is deliberately avoiding giving any Z h9D^I  
kind of offense. Maybe he never gets angry himself - although (i1x<  
his words suggest otherwise -but Bluesbunny feels that he is Ewq@>$_!  
doing his own songs a disservice here by sprinkling an inch of 5XzsqeG|  
icing sugar on everything. It is not necessary for everything z*q+5 p@~  
in life to have a cherry on top for it to be appetising. XGbpH<

Overall, this is a happy, upbeat album that is just a bit too p >ua{}!L  
polite and well mannered to try and force itself upon your ;hV|W{=w  
affections. The production and arrangements are smoother than )8eb(!}7  
your average Starbuck's decaf latte but it is perhaps fair &WL::gy_S  
comment to say that the omnipresent sugar coating will suit 5M~nNm[xJU  
his fans. However, and maybe this is a reviewer thing, a bit %n8CK->  
of fire and even some unpredictability would have been x-ue1  
welcome. Then again, the Bluesbunny was always a quadruple >;Vfs{Z(q
